WEST JEFFERSON — The Ashe Post & Times added a new reporter to the team on July 10.
Francisco Hernandez graduated from Appalachian State University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a concentration in Journalism.
He grew up in the neighboring town of North Wilkesboro where he found community with the local theater arts scene and with the people he befriended while volunteering for different groups and organizations, Hernandez said.
“I’m really excited for this opportunity. I’ve always enjoyed keeping people up to date with local happenings and events,” Hernandez said.
